CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Pipeline
Management of Environmental and Ground Disturbance coordination for major linear construction projects (Alberta, Ontario and Eastern Canada). Implementation of Environmental Protection Plan (EPP) measures for construction mitigation at environmental sensitive areas. Management of ONE-CALLS and implementation and tracking of all crossing agreements and associated communication with foreign conflict representatives. Management of environmental crews installing sedimentation control measures at environmentally sensitive areas following replacement of topsoil on pipeline construction ROW. Management of field environmental inspections on highway and pipeline related projects. Management of final pipeline construction and reclamation including grading, cultivation, re-vegetation, and fencing crews responsible for upholding Client/landholder agreements.

Highway
Monitoring of construction activities to ensure environmental mitigation measures are properly followed for sediment & erosion control, noise, vibration, and air quality. Providing support for implementation and compliance with permit obligations from the Environmental Impact Assessment for the Highway 407E Phase II construction project. Preparation and submission of regulatory environmental reports to respective regulatory bodies overseeing projects. Management of the Design Construction Review (DCR) program including preparation of the necessary reports, Public Information Centres (PIC’s), on-going communication with key stakeholders and general public. General HSE Program Implementation on large-scale construction projects. ISNetworld account administration. Environmental Inspection and Monitoring (EMP). Environmental Contingency and Emergency Response Program (ECERP). Auditing of Environmental Management System (EMS). ISO 14000 Certification. Coordination of environmental monitoring. ORGANIC WASTE MANAGEMENT

Design, permitting and commissioning of organic composting and anaerobic digestion facilities (municipal SSO and L&YO, or pulp & paper and forestry processing, livestock /agriculture / fisheries /aquaculture waste management programs, industrial based feedstock) Operations, QA/ QC testing, end-product quality and development of end-markets for finished compost products. Development of compost operations manuals, operator training, and presentations for compost sales and marketing programs, Federal/Provincial regulatory specialized certifications (CCME, CFIA labelling, CQA quality programs, Canadian COS, USDA-NOP and OMRI, development, labelling and implementation of beneficial re-use land application programs for wood-ash residues. Development and coordination of research and development (R&D) projects under ACOA’s Atlantic Innovation Fund and CRA’s SR&ED programs.

INDUSTRIAL WASTE MANAGEMENT

Management of treatment and recycling of industrial wastes, petroleum, TPH/PAH and Metal- impacted wastes. Monitoring of industrial landfill closure and reclamation programs. Upstream and downstream oil & gas waste residuals management programs (drilling, processing and refinery waste tracking, manifesting and regulatory approved treatment & disposal). Coastal dredge- spoils waste management programs (incl. Geo-Bag dewatering and compost topsoil stabilization programs). Municipal and industrial wastewater treatment (septage and wwtp biosolids) residue management.

ENVIRONMENT ASSESSMENT / REMEDIATION / MONITORING / RISK ASSESSMENT

Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). Project permitting and regulatory liaison. Phase I property audits, Phase II intrusive assessments, and Phase III plume delineation. Emergency spill response.
